Visitng Peru was my most memorable and impactful trip I have ever been on. I was there in the summer of 2019 and had a few days in Lima and Cusco, but spent most of my time hiking in the mountains. While in Cusco we stumbled upon their Summer Solstice festival and got to watch and learn about their culture. Their traditional clothing, music, and dances were a highlight of thr trip. Once I left Cusco I went on a 7 day hiking trip through the Andes to Machu Picchu. Along the way we saw amazing views, unique nature as well as getting to learn from a local shaman.
